We do not report any communications in this regard because, as stated in a sentence of the Advertising Self-Regulation Jury, the words “stop the animal tests guaranteed by LAV” and “not tested on animals” are certainly in contrast with the Code (EU Regulation no. 355 of 10.07.2013), as they can lead the consumer to understand that other cosmetic products experiment on animals, when this is prohibited by law. According to the Jury, the reference to LAV is also irrelevant, as the message is decoded not as an ideological adhesion to the general proposal to ban animal tests even outside the cosmetic sector, but as a specific merit of the product.

The total ban on testing and marketing cosmetic ingredients and products tested on animals came into force all over the European Union on 11 March 2013 with the new cosmetic regulations No. 1223/2009. After a long process of gradual bans that lasted almost 20 years, the official NO to all tests on animals in the cosmetic sector has finally come into being.
