Gastric hyperacidity depends on many factors, but poor eating habits often play an important role. Let your stomach rest by not gorging on different foods together (protein, fat, sugar) and eating little and often. Try to go to bed at least three hours after dinner and, if you suffer from oesophageal regurgitation, raise the mattress by 15 cm under the head. Clothing is also important. Avoid tight clothes and belts: these impede proper abdominal breathing, which is also essential for digestion.
