There is evidence from studies of a new discipline, PNEI, that our mood affects the our immune system. This happens because the nervous, hormonal and immune systems are in continuous dialogue. When these systems are in balance, everything runs smoothly, but any type of stress lowers immunity. It is, though, possible to act on the psyche to increase it. How? Choose to stay positive and avoid brooding over old grudges, resentments, fears: these are veritable toxins for the soul.
