La capacità antiossidante dei vegetali
Today there is a method to measure the antioxidant capacity of plants. It is the ORAC (Oxygen Radicals Absorbance Capacity) system, developed by two scientists from Boston University. The highest scores go to red grape vines and wine, pomegranate, grapes, blackberries, blueberries, plums – dark red/purple coloured food that should be eaten as often as possible. These fruits are followed by green tea, garlic, cabbage, tomatoes and chocolate. Advice is to tot up at least 5000 ORAC per day.
