Il Cistus incanus

< 1 min

Did you know that science has identified Cistus incanus as having the highest polyphenol content ever found in a European plant? And polyphenols are substances capable of increasing the body’s defences, in particular those in the respiratory system. But where does this substance come from? You probably admired it yourselves last summer by the sea. It is, in fact, part of the Cistaceae family, covering the rocks of the island regions near the sea, dyeing them magnificent bright colours when in bloom. Beautiful and useful!
