Coffee in small doses

Fighting fatigue with coffee? Be careful. According to the latest research, coffee and energy drinks (tea, cola-based drinks) do push the adrenal glands to produce cortisol, a pick-me-up hormone but, if exaggerated, (more than two or three cups a day) you achieve the opposite effect because the suprarenal glands are depleted. The conclusion? Coffee is OK, but in small doses.
