With the arrival of exotic plants such as ginseng or Siberian ginseng at our latitudes, with their revitalizing properties, the vocabulary of the world of herbal medicine has also been enriched with the new term “adaptogen”. What does it mean? Coined by the Russian pharmacologist Lazarev in 1947, this term refers to natural substances capable of increasing the strength and adaptability of the body against stressors, such as fighting the fatigue caused by the changes of season and promoting recovery from difficult physical and mental situations
